I know she's got this, because of how badass intelligent she is, but if you cheer her on... That'd be awesome. Let's cheer her on. She deserves it.
Taking the CAPM exam in January because my new job involves leading project managers and I always loathed working under people who didn’t understand what the hell I do, so I vowed never to be That Guy

would be very embarrassing if I fail, though, ngl

Qatar has officially agreed to the US plan and has given authorisation to conduct airstrikes inside Afghanistan from its airbase.

These operations “are aimed at eliminating high value targets, including senior leaders of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, as well as terrorist training facilities”.

I love that my best friend and I have this unspoken agreement to always share anything waterlily-related with each other. Why? I have no idea. It started several years ago. Neither of us can remember how it began. It doesn't even matter at this point.

It must continue.

Once again I see discussion over a question that has long been answered if a single one of you "war people" talked to a Coastie.

"Oh no; if we did that, we'd be charged with murder."

As Marine Corps nco, I knew this. He sure as hell did too. Inexcusable.
So I'm pretty sure a three star knows that an order to strike alleged combatants who are hors de combat is facially illegal, in case anyone's still having any hangups on whether Bradley needs to be in the dock after this

Loving this morning sunshine as I sit and drink coffee. Everything feels all freshly washed after a night of rain. The windows are full of dark green and gold and yellow, set off by blue skies.

Everyone else in the house is still asleep.

Our small town of only 20k people has 2 indie bookstores that have survived for over 40 years each. They're both on Bookshop now, I think.

Check to see if your local indie is on there, if you want to avoid crowds today.

I've got an hour until my mom arrives, I can sit & slowly enjoy a glass of wine without judgment until then. Everything's done that needs to be done. I just got a shower. It's pouring rain. Kids are quiet.

I'm going to enjoy this little window of peace.

I hope you find a little calm today too.

If you go out tomorrow, please remember that the vast majority of us are doing our level best to turn tables, but waits are unavoidable on a holiday when demand far outstrips supply. Take care of your server or bartender. They’ll be working their asses off so you can enjoy that time with loved ones.

Okay so what I’m reading here, if this account is to be believed, is that Lizza and Nuzzi are complicit in withholding major dark political actions that have had insane implications for like, everybody. Journalistic malpractice doesn’t even begin to cover it
While there are often some ethical issues with making free PDFs of paywalled content, in this case it seems entirely justifiable, given the author, the subject, and the journalistic imperative to provide the widest possible audience for the verb "Michael Wolffed"

Absolutely terrible move.
Trump opened the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument to commercial fishing, reversing protections that had been in place to conserve marine ecosystems.
This decision has faced legal challenges due to concerns about its impact on biodiversity and indigenous heritage.
