I fully expect they make people with Level C do the CBT still lol

(yeah I didn't look at the APACS fine print in detail but I'm pretty sure there's an exception if you've got Level C)
mikeblack114.bsky.social
Ostensibly enforced as a part of any APACS submission to anywhere in their AOR; this trip had enough issues already I'm not taking any chances haha
mikeblack114.bsky.social
It's not bad per se, it's just kind of silly because like either you're in a position to actually need to know this stuff, in which case you should've gotten Level C, or you don't actually need it in which case Level A should be like ATFP on steroids (except oh wait you have to do that one too lol)
mikeblack114.bsky.social
Not required for US soil I don't think because it's tied to APACS

or at least the only reason I can think anyone would do it is if you're submitting an APACS request

on the other hand USG is giving me some good tips in case this shutdown goes on for too long
A screenshot from a USG SERE training discussing dumpster diving as a survival method .
mikeblack114.bsky.social
Still cannot believe that the SERE Level A CBT is a thing and that INDOPACOM requires it to go anywhere in their AOR

my understanding is it's one of those weird things common to state leg where the Republican in question is seen as a "cool dude" or whatever
mikeblack114.bsky.social
yeah lol it's one thing if you're like "man these republicans just need to die ha ha" to some dem or whatever but he texted this TO A REPUBLICAN and then when the republican was like "bro, not cool" he responds basically with "YES THEY DESERVE TO DIE AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL"
mikeblack114.bsky.social
The "Secretary of War's" official mailing address includes the word "Defense" lmao
fighterlawyer.bsky.social
His required reading memos are full of errors. He headers it "Secretary of War" and calls himself the "Secretary of War," but there are still multiple references to "Defense" or "Department of Defense," some on contradiction to titles before.

Wolves may have cracked the code on transitioning T10 games from annual behemoths into something more repeatable/iterative, but yeah Foxes have been doing some interesting work too
mikeblack114.bsky.social
funnily enough even in those games lile 80% of the useful insights come from 20% of the participants, almost none of whom are VIPs
mikeblack114.bsky.social
But the way you get after that is by continuing to think and game, stuff we do precious little of

It's depressing realizing I'm probably in the top 5% of this stuff just because I read a bit, can think critically, and keep my eyes open during games, and I don't even really do *this* professionally
mikeblack114.bsky.social
The meta aspect of this is there's a real risk of mirror imaging with this too

I just said we should assume Beijing understands the coalition/population/joining the war calculus...but do they? They aren't idiots but on the other hand Wolf Warriors aren't exactly known for their discernment
mikeblack114.bsky.social
the US intervention piece is obviously much more sensitive and not something you can play out in, for instance, T10 games since that's not the purpose of the game

But it is something that should (but probably never will) get played out at higher level strategic games *in the dept*
mikeblack114.bsky.social
Japan and the Aussies are probably the only folks in the region who'll even consider throwing in with us, and what degree they do/what they'll authorize is likely a direct reflection on whether they've gotten punched yet...which you should assume Beijing knows
mikeblack114.bsky.social
The point about coalitions and will red shoot first is well taken; I have yet to meet any China expert that thinks they'll just missile spam everything with a US flag in range just for funsies

objectively that makes no sense, yet way too many people think that (shades of expecting Korea to get hit)
mikeblack114.bsky.social
This is a good piece, although I would caution from taking the assertions about what wargames are or aren't doing too far, as a lot of that is reflective of the cottage industry of flimflam games that has popped up in the last 5 years vs the smaller core of hard thinking well designed games
mikeblack114.bsky.social
Colby is actually the only normal poster lol, if you can believe that
mikeblack114.bsky.social
this raises a tangential question do we think this was his idea or jennifer's
mikeblack114.bsky.social
so pete is mandating all military personnel watch his GOFO "speech" and/or read the transcript lol

beta cuck shit tbh, although I think he underestimates how many people hadn't bothered to watch any of it who will now come away with the same conclusion
mikeblack114.bsky.social
I'm talking about 10 USC 12406

well number two is very much a """"deployment""", I probably came closer to hostile fire than he did and I never left KAF lol
mikeblack114.bsky.social
for the record he was born and raised in Shreveport and has lived basically his whole life between there and Bossier, so he's very much not bayou anything lol

like yeah people up here call drainage ditches "bayous" but come on, I've only been south of I-10 3 times in my life and I know better
jamellebouie.net
really can’t say enough about how mike johnson is a sniveling little coward of a man. a bayou-bred pushover with a dignity deficit that would embarrass renfield

Q: Do you agree that the mayor of Chicago and governor of Illinois should be in prison?

MIKE JOHNSON: Should they be in prison? I'm not the attorney general. I'm not following the day to day on that
