One thing I really respect about crypto is they do not mess around letting weak hands bleed out. There’s no messing around with foreplay, just every thing gets liquidated in 15 minutes and then it bottoms out and finds a new level.

We're back to Liberation Day vibes as tariff suck value out of stocks. That bled over into the Treasury market last time, and it very nearly required the Fed to intervene. That more than anything prompted Trump and Bessent to back off. Are they more prepared this time?

China's actions show that the U.S. is vulnerable to economic pressure, and China has forced the administration to choose between further escalation or a humiliating climbdown.

The Republican coalition hates green energy and Biden dubs. Don’t get me wrong, they were also happy to cut spending in general. But the spending was a justification not the motivation. Also: what a Republican Congress does and what “Americans” writ large think/want are two very different things.

Macron Renames Sebastien Lecornu as France's New Prime Minister By Samy Adghirni and William Horobin 10/10/2025 21:02:26 [BN] (Bloomberg) -- President Emmanuel Macron reappointed Sebastien Lecornu to be France's prime minister, giving the centrist ally another shot at naming a new cabinet and getting a budget through a fractious parliament. Lecornu must propose a 2026 budget on Monday in order to get the legislation adopted by the end of the year through the normal process. Otherwise the National Assembly may need to pass an emergency bill to keep the government funded. The reappointment is a last-gasp attempt to find political balance to prevent the next government from collapsing, which would likely make snap elections unavoidable and usher in a new period of political instability.
