Whatever one thought of it in the moment it's clear that a wide swath of Saint Paul residents have given SPPD a lot of good faith assumptions during an era when policing is under greater scrutiny. And I think today is gonna mark a major shift in that sentiment for a significant chunk of citizens.

Tomorrow is a day to use your weakest desktop computer. Celebrate its limited performance. I even downgraded from an ssd to a spinning drive. It makes a little "clunk" when it starts now. :-)

it is incredible that America is one of the most culturally successful empires to ever exist, in terms of the popularity of its media exports and its deftness in propaganda, and yet somehow despite these riches, our god-emperor chooses Rush Hour as his favorite part of it

I teased this last night in What I’m Hearing but now confirmed: Paramount WILL release Rush Hour 4 after prodding from Trump on behalf of Brett Ratner. Distribution deal. Producer Tarak Ben Ammar is lining up financing. Get ready for the dumbest possible state-controlled media.

As far as i can tell, people are recording/yelling while wearing their pajamas and sandals, and the feds respond by pointing their weapons at the crowd and then gassing a residential block.

WATCH St. Paul police, aiding ICE, restrain a man and spray him full in the face. They are not and have never been on our side.

Underrated part of this interview to me is how dumb and lame he makes Liz Collin look for not knowing who he is. Should have been a red flag 15 years ago.

Somethign as expensive as an IPhone should be classified as a "durable good," like a dishwasher or a stove, and not be expected to be replaced ever couple of years. Also, Apple should understand, really understand, that very few people want native AI on their phones, and will stop buying them.
It's not just "consumer smart" it reduces environmental waste, key materials are often mined in slave conditions. The whole tenor of the article is wrong - why is the economy so dependent on us engaging in mass waste?

The worst part about having a minor gas leak in your home that you refuse to fix due to an ongoing, morally justified, but nonetheless sexually charged, dispute with your neighbour is that it really colours how people judge your takes. They're prejudiced against new ideas you or your cat suggest.
