If you know basic kabbalah it's actually not too hard to make a golem out of a labubu. Don't recommend it though. They have a pre-existing body-dharma. As soon as they wake they run straight for the sea. V hard to counter. Lost the first one. No idea what it's doing out there. Moved like lightning.

next week it will be one year since my dog died and today her dog best friend just finished cancer treatment so I am feeling very emotional about dogs, please make a point to tell the dogs in your life that they're treasures ok

feel like academia should bring back the writing convention of "Author X claims Y. Fine. But our analysis of Y is based on..." That petty little "Fine." is so good

That makes more sense to me as how to read it, yes! Thank you! Partly asking this because in trying to get a grip on Polanyi I'm realizing most references to his ideas are actually based on Block and Somers and trying to figure out if misattribution is just how ppl do things in the academy

niche academia question: is it normal to talk about the "metabolic rift" as Marx's concent or as Bellamy Foster's? I was taught it as a Marx idea but isn't it more accurate to call it an interpretation of Marx by a guy? Does that denigrate it somehow?
