This is what happens when Trump puts loyalty tests above legal standards. An inexperienced, unlawfully appointed prosecutor justifiably resulted in two politicized indictments thrown out.

This is a stain on the DOJ and a warning about what political vengeance does to the rule of law.

Always a joy to celebrate Thanksgiving with the United Senior Center of Sunset Park. I’m proud to support this event every year and grateful for the seniors who make this community so special.

Thank you to Grisel Amador and the entire team for all you do.

Proud to co-sponsor the Loisaida Inc. Turkey Drive with Harvey Epstein for the fourth year.

As families across New York face rising costs, organizations like Loisaida are stepping up to ensure our neighbors have food on their tables this Thanksgiving. Grateful for their dedication to our community.

Joined AM Grace Lee today across Hamilton-Madison sites at City Hall, Southbridge, and Knickerbocker Village to make sure seniors in our community have Thanksgiving meals.

Huge thanks to Rethink Food for supporting this effort and to the volunteers showing up for our neighbors every single day.

Whatever you think of the situation in Gaza, Jewish students on American college campuses have nothing to do with it.

My office has been coordinating with The New School & I’m grateful for their immediate response.

There should be no dispute that this kind of antisemitism has no place in our city.

Kicked off Thanksgiving week packing meals with God's Love We Deliver and the volunteers who make sure our neighbors in need aren’t forgotten during the holidays.

Their work is a lifeline for New Yorkers facing food insecurity and I am proud to support them. This is what community is all about.

Helicopter tourism creates noise, pollution, and safety risks for all New Yorkers.

We need stronger oversight and real community input on helicopter routes. Reintroducing the Communities Before Air Tourism Act with @menendez.house.gov is the vital next step to protecting our neighborhoods.
Rep. Dan Goldman and I are introducing legislation that puts our communities first by ensuring their voices are heard in the fight to curb the harms caused non-essential helicopters.

We must restore the peace and safety our families deserve. 🚁🔨

In March, @wassermanschultz.house.gov, @replindasanchez.bsky.social, and I led 59 Members demanding the IRS stop illegally sharing taxpayer information with DHS.

A federal judge has now blocked this unlawful practice.

The Trump Education Department’s new plan to limit reimbursements for degrees deemed “non-professional” effectively puts careers like nursing, teaching and social work — not to mention critical vocational fields — out of reach for many students.

This change is reckless and shortsighted.
Whether a degree is considered "professional" will influence how much reimbursement a student receives for their higher education.

No federal badge authorizes the unlawful arrest of or use of excessive force on American citizens.

When ICE crosses that line, they’re committing crimes under state law. Local law enforcement has a duty to intervene and protect the public, not rogue agents.

This is no Ukraine “peace plan” — it’s Donald Trump siding yet again with a war criminal over a democracy fighting for its freedom.
I served as our Ambassador in Ukraine for 3 years under Putin’s missiles and drones but resigned when Trump kept appeasing Putin. America does not bow to dictators. It’s not who we are.

Here's why this Trump-Putin so-called "peace plan" is a disaster:

I was honored to join @cpcnyc.bsky.social’s Older Adult Center for their Thanksgiving celebration in Sunset Park.

The CPC does such incredible work supporting seniors in Sunset Park and it’s always a pleasure to join them for some fun and entertainment.

Every week, Camp Friendship Brooklyn ensures more than 500 families can put food on their tables. Today that included distributing turkeys so our neighbors can celebrate Thanksgiving.

I was proud to sponsor today’s turkey distribution and grateful to Soni and the volunteers for making it happen.

The CDC is our government’s definitive medical agency responsible for safeguarding the nation’s health.

Sec. Kennedy is reneging on his confirmation promises by using it to launder conspiracy theories.

If @homelandcbp.bsky.social is secretly tracking millions of Americans’ travel patterns and detaining people based on an algorithm, not warrants or evidence, how is that consistent with the Fourth Amendment?

Driving isn’t probable cause. Congress needs full transparency on this program immediately.

A record-long shutdown and now unemployment at a four-year high.

While families struggle, this admin fixates on tariffs, immigration crackdowns, and billionaire donors.

Americans around the country are suffering from Trump’s self-inflicted crises.

The court’s ruling makes one thing clear: you can’t bypass the law to punish vulnerable kids. These SIJS recipients escaped abuse and neglect in their home countries and deserve protection while they build their lives here.

The Trump admin's unlawful rollback was a moral and legal failure.

While Republican lawmakers whine about the FBI collecting basic phone logs as part of the 2020 election investigation, they say nothing about the FBI planting a source in a private chat among people observing court proceedings.

The GOP health care cuts will rip care away from 15 million Americans and destabilize hospitals that serve Black, Hispanic, and immigrant communities.

Clinics will close and costs will rise, all so Republicans can hand out tax cuts to the rich.
Republicans worried that steep Medicaid cuts in their big tax bill would shutter rural hospitals. To pass it, they included a $50B rural health care fund.

But a very different group of hospitals will bear the brunt of the law: large urban safety-net hospitals.

Trump tried to gut Social Security disability benefits for older Americans with severe impairments — one of the largest cuts in history.

After fierce pushback from my House Democratic colleagues and me, he dropped the new rule.

We’ll continue fighting to protect the earned benefits you depend on.
Breaking news: The Social Security Administration has abandoned plans to block thousands of older Americans from qualifying for disability benefits after an uproar, according to people familiar with the decision.
Social Security scraps plan to limit disability benefits after uproar
The policy would have fundamentally altered who qualifies for the two federal disability programs by eliminating or limiting a person’s age as a factor to consider.

Trump caved and passed the bill requiring the DOJ to release all Epstein files within 30 days.

But this Trump-controlled DOJ could still weaponize bogus “exceptions” to continue the cover-up.

These files are ready to be released. The survivors deserve the truth. AG Pam Bondi must act now.

Swastikas and nooses are offensive symbols of hate, not merely divisive symbols.

The Coast Guard's decision emboldens those who wish to harm Jewish and Black Americans. It must be reversed.

From helping small businesses to leading the fight for public housing, @velazquez.house.gov has achieved meaningful and lasting change for New York City and beyond.

I’m proud to announce that @usprogressives.bsky.social endorsed my No Secret Police Act, joining 112 of my colleagues who have co-sponsored this bill.

Unidentified, masked officers exist in fascist countries, not democracies.

Law enforcement must answer to the people, not operate in the shadows.

Trump claims he’ll “give everything” over from the Epstein files.

Yet his DOJ is already angling to withhold documents for bogus reasons.

Trump should have nothing to do with this decision, and AG Bondi must release the entire files.

The survivors and American public deserve full transparency.
