I was getting way too focused on one axis at a time (very similar to my boating/canoeing technique). I think i need to practice my flight dynamics on the ground so I get the most out of my next lesson if I take one

I was treated to a helicopter flight in Hawaii and after 30 seconds of delight at the sensation of lifting up I got so motion sick I had to close my eyes the rest of the time. Missed seeing whales off the Na Pali coast apparently

They do have the disadvantages of both small and large i think. I do love my occasional United 777 flight to Chicago because you can hardly feel the takeoff

I was very surprised that when holding the controls I could feel that the air was holding us up and that it's a fluid etc. That was very reassuring

Fun fact: as part of my mission i learned this flight freaked me out because I had never been seated forward of the engines on an A320 and they make a noticably different and sort of horrible sound from the front

At times I have been TERRRIFIED of flying. In 2013 or so i came very close to asking the flight attendants to let me off a Spirit flight while it was taxiing to the runway and after that I made it my mission to manually overcome my fear by learning everything about planes!

Partially it was a challenge to myself to see if ive defeated my (formerly very severe) fear of flying through pure Wikipedia, and i was surprised how normal it felt to be in the air. I got a little overwhelmed with information & the feel of the controls so I didnt fly quite as much as I could have

I'll never be able to get the hours since I live so far away from any airport but I thought I would try it for fun :} i need to play some flight sim so I have a better sense of the controls and then maybe i'll take another lesson

I DID NOT fly it squiggly i'm sure this is merely an ADS-B reception issue

flight track of N9554V which is spotty from takeoff to about halfway through the flight. The path goes back and forth over a lonely area of reservoirs on the front range before heading back to FNL airport

I sort of love that online fabric sales have remained proudly Web 1.5 even in the face of Amazon, Alibaba, etc. I have now been a customer of an online store that only sells fleece, one that only sells canvas, one that only sells linen, and a few that sell 10 things all for making tents/puffy coats
