I feel like it's an indication of how deep a hole the regime is in that they've tossed out an unrepentant fascist & replaced him with a CORRUPT unrepentant fascist.
While glad to see Bovino humbled, I really don’t have any higher opinion of Homan—a cruel, cold, corrupt, calculating bureaucrat who’s devoted more of his career to mass deportation than almost anyone. He’s the architect of child separation.

One armed goon loses his shit at an observer who's backing up, and then several more armed goons tackle the observer to the ground, and then even more armed goons form a protective shield around the armed goons handcuffing the observer for hurting an armed goon's feelings.

This can't be "reformed"

while i do appreciate a technical correction the proper response to "this is not like anne frank, actually" is "if you are making legalistic arguments to distinguish your actions from hitler you are already losing"
To avoid the possibility Holocaust remembrance might lead to empathy for migrants, Trump's antisemitism envoy claims Anne Frank "was in Amsterdam legally."

In reality, Margot Frank received a summons to go to a labor camp on July 5, 1942. After ignoring this call, they were in Amsterdam illegally.

I've been sent video from the end of the ICE raid at the Zipps on 32nd and Shea.

It shows protesters -- on the sidewalk, impeding no one -- getting drive-by maced by an ICE agent from a truck as it rolls away down the road.

Hard to see how such tactics are justifiable.

the assaults are punitive. the cops know that their critics have not done anything against the law. but the DOJ is Trump's personal law firm, and broken bones, hypothermia, and chemical attacks do not require a judge's sign-off. so ICE's victims get beaten and gassed and dropped in the wilderness.

Silly word games. He hasn’t been fired from his actual job in CBP as chief of El Centro Sector; they’re letting him slink back to that while he runs out the clock on his retirement. “Commander at large” was a made-up assignment Noem gave him running the traveling circus. He’s been canned from that.

It’s notable that both of the killers were, with varying degrees of success, spraying irritants in bystanders’ eyes seconds before the shooting.
