I like to write about terrible men, horrible things, and unlikeable women. Somehow my book is a bestseller. Repped by Kent D. Wolf at Neon Literary.
Unfollowing people is my new kink.

Glad to see this @wired.com guide on high quality masks! A KN95 can help protect you and your loved ones from COVID-19 and other airborne viruses, especially during this busy travel season. I only wish Wired wrote about the pandemic in the present tense 🙏😷

NEW: ICE has torn up its $180M cap on a proposed immigrant-tracking program and is now guaranteeing private surveillance firms at least $7.5M each, with potential payouts reaching $281M per vendor. The change signals a shift from “pilot” to full-scale outsourcing of street-level investigative work.

In 1995, my friend Amy, a stripper-anarchist who published The Piss Bucket, an anarchist zine, let me stay with her in her squat on 10th between B and C. I lived in the "bathroom raft," a weird windowless loft space above the bathroom, and I was grateful to have it.

Anarchists are A-OK with me.

It isn’t?
No but I do think we need to talk about age-appropriate reading material for children, because I was assigned Much Ado About Nothing in the 4th grade and for at least the next ten years I thought being a huge bitch was the same as flirting

Every Democrat in Congress should put out a video saying troops have an obligation to refuse unlawful orders. Make them prosecute all of you. This isn't a close call.

I'd add Republicans too if I thought any of them had the courage to actually cross Trump on this.

One of my favorite thanksgiving memories was getting invited to dinner by this British lesbian couple in Boston in 1984.They called it a “very ‘Murrican Thanksgiving” and popped a merkin on the turkey.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

I, like practically everyone I follow, have been kidnapped by the Lizzo-Nuzzi brouhaha, and I watched this podcast that featured Michael Schur, creator of Parks & Rec, Good Place, and so on.

Schur said he believed two things in America shouldn't be for-profit: healthcare and news.

well, I read it, and the salient, non-gross part is Lizza alleging, midsentence and without elaboration, that Nuzzi ran numerous “catch-and-kill operations” on RFK’s behalf, which would give her a role in both his appointment and the untold preventable deaths he has abetted in office. Cool.

American Idol is older than ICE.
We don’t need to reform ICE.
We don’t need alternatives to ICE.
We don’t need to engage in dishonest debates wondering what the U.S. would do without ICE.

ICE isn’t even 23 years old. Most adults know a world without ICE. And the billions used to fund ICE can be used to meet people’s basic needs.
