I like to write about terrible men, horrible things, and unlikeable women. Somehow my book is a bestseller. Repped by Kent D. Wolf at Neon Literary.

I mean, they'll definitely work with jeans.
Four shots of the same pair of shoes, a sneaker-loafer hybrid made by New Balance for Ganni, that are silver, shiny black, and snakeskin. Are they ugly? Yes but also no.

I regret to inform that I dithered over a pair of sneafers, loakers, snoafers, whatever you call that unholy hybrid of sneakers and loafers so long that I finally decided they were attractive and bought them.

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

Pritzker is offering the following at the moment:

1. Trust the courts. [not a viable strategy]
2. "Film the cops"
3. Vote in 2026
4. Protest [peacefully]

And he knows this is not sufficient. Everyone does.

He will not address the local cops angle because he might be deposed...

The thing about hundreds of people being stranded on Mount Everest is that there are even more Sherpa guides and high-altitude porters whose livelihoods depend on getting those people to safety. Have sympathy for them.

Libraries all over the world trade books and other items in their collections for study and intellectual exchange. Tariffs are about to isolate US libraries, some of whom have books out that they can't get back now.
Libraries Can’t Get Their Loaned Books Back Because of Trump’s Tariffs
Libraries have shared their collections internationally for decades. Trump’s tariffs are throwing that system into chaos and can ‘hinder academic progress.’
