The Inquiry report states that by October 2020 the government was sufficiently well aware of the scale and severity of #LongCovid and should have incorporated the risk of LC into decision making, as well as communicated the risk of long term sequelae to the public.

They failed us.

An honest, heartwarming, and full of laughs tribute to Alice Wong by @thrasherxy.bsky.social.

"giving pleasure, joy, affirmation and care to people you only meet once—or who you might never meet all, such as all the Palestinians Alice cared for these last two years—is the very meaning of love."

"Her radicalism was nowhere more apparent than in her commitment to a free Palestine and her understanding of Palestinian liberation and the liberation of all people struggling to survive war, occupation, colonization and genocide as at the heart of disability justice."

Alice Wong helped me accept my disabilities.

She taught me there’s no social justice without disability justice.

She encouraged me to start The Disabled Ginger and was a friend & mentor.

She won’t be forgotten.

Don’t let the bastards grind you down:

Alice Wong has passed away and the disability community has lost a leader. I lost a mentor and a friend. The Disabled Ginger wouldn't exist without Alice and everything she taught me.
