Growing up, I looked forward to snow, but I wasn't a fan when it over-stayed and grayed.
Snowplows would shove the snow roadside where it would build up into a craggy, sooty wall of ice and debris.
I try remembering that when I long for snowstorms.

I pulled out two different jackets from the closet today, a cozy flannel this morning, my rain jacket this afternoon.
Both had pockets full of acorns.
Now to scatter them--the acorns, not the jackets.
Because acorns can't grow until they're set free.

I volunteer as the "librarian" at a local teashop.
What that means is that I get to care for books, touch them, smell them, journey into stories I might otherwise overlook.
