Ugh.. #insomnia here's part of a poem by Philip Larkin called Aubade
Image of part of a poem by Philip Larkin, it reads

Aubade

BY PHILIP LARKIN

I work all day, and get half-drunk at night. Waking at four to soundless dark, I stare. In time the curtain-edges will grow light. Till then I see what's really always there: Unresting death, a whole day nearer now, Making all thought impossible but how And where and when I shall myself die. Arid interrogation: yet the dread Of dying, and being dead, Flashes afresh to hold and horrify.

The mind blanks at the glare. Not in remorse -The good not done, the love not given, time Torn off unused-nor wretchedly because An only life can take so long to climb Clear of its wrong beginnings, and may never; But at the total emptiness for ever, The sure extinction that we travel to And shall be lost in always. Not to be here, Not to be anywhere, And soon; nothing more terrible, nothing more true.

Idk what to think about the way buildings look aesthetically these days. I much prefer the old London and Paris to the new. The cloud piercing behemoths you see now, they look so fragile to me. If I was designing stuff I'd be going down into the ground for thermoregulation. 4am thoughts #insomnia

It's huge, explains why I've been pacing every night🐺🌕

Thanks, I have six to finish, so I guess I'll get to it and make the most of autumn

Hmm.. Maybe if I can find my tank and chemicals for the B&W, I can't do the colour. I think it's pretty expensive now, all companies involved are pretty much exploiting the niche market. I kept a lot of these cameras because I love them aesthetically, can't see the point anymore, more "stuff".

The people who occupy this virtual space during the wee small hours, we must all have restless brains, also weary, and tired of said brain being so anti social and unwilling to stfu #insomnia

4am, that time when the thoughts that have been bouncing around in your brain all day come to kick you in the virtual backside #insomnia

I have a load of film cameras with half shot rolls in and I don't really know what to do with that info. I don't even remember what's on most of them. Maybe it's time to let them go, idk, I've lost the ability to visualize how a shot might look without a screen. I'm playing brain billiards here.

Have you ever travelled on Eurostar, I've used that train service quite a few times. You can get to most of Europe now.

I don't really go there so much now, I miss it a lot. I've never been to Liverpool or Germany for that matter.

The police weren't looking for me 😅 there was something going on with people transporting drugs on the train. I'm not sure if they caught anyone🤔

I used to travel to Cumbria a lot, the Lake District, I'd rent a car in Manchester and drive the last part.

This place is like a balm on a wound some days, thank the universe for temperate and generous people

😯 How did you even notice those tiny stones? It must have been so boring, and slow, pushing them into the mortar🤔

But the deeper layer is: Taylor’s nod to the Aquarium’s Sea Otter Program isn’t just cute—it’s conservation-coded. 🦦💙 Since the ’80s, we have rescued, raised, and released over 1,000 sea otters—helping restore California’s kelp forests and showing the smallest creatures can make the biggest ripple.

I've not done #caturday in ages, a lot of snoozing going on today.
Black and white image of a grey cat, curled up, sleeping on a bed. In the background are out of focus cupboards and other bedroom stuff.

I reckon that would work well, I'll go look on that blog, thanks. I reckon gold leaf or foil might look good with autumn colours. I'll have to start collecting leaves.

I'd like to do a multi-layer autumn leaf piece, I'm not sure about air bubbles though. I've found with pendants pre painting stops most of the bubbles.

I've made two panels, actually about two years ago, I have the resin. Did you use dye/ink/paint to colour? I seem to remember if you use paint it messes up the curing process. I was thinking of putting it in a mosquito tent, I wonder if that would prevent dust?

I don't like that people are suggesting that Paddington Bear was a drug courier, that's a gross stereotype. I mean, his cute little suitcase was for marmalade sandwiches, nothing else 🤔😅
