Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

The Brexit tide has turned

🗳️ Latest poll:
🔵 Remain: 52%
🔴 Leave: 29%
⚪️ Wouldn’t vote: 11%
⚪️ Don’t know: 8%

But if you remove the non-voters, real result is:

✅ Remain: 64%
❌ Leave: 36%

That’s nearly a 2:1 margin to rejoin.
Mandate gone.

Amen, although at half time and the way we were playing i thought a win was on the cards, still at start of the game I'd have settled for a point

I signed this letter.

This isn't about party politics but about my constituents.

Only last week Japanese manufacturer Astemo confirmed £100 million of investment into new highly-skilled jobs for the electric vehicle supply chain right here in Horwich.

Reform would rip that up. Irresponsible.

“Being gay is a sin.” Says Reform UK’s Councillor Rory Green of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Yes, the same Cllr Green that was pen friend to the mastermind of 9/11.

If we had PR I'd be happy with this, however I'm filled with the dread of unintended consequences
