Ok, haven’t been well over the last week so decided on Saturday to head out for the first time to test a new lens. Was surprised by the conditions and spent far too long out in the cold. In a way I’m glad I did

Some days are better than others. Today came with good and the bad. The bad is I’m riddled with flu 🤧 The good is I sent £2900 to @dementiauk.bsky.social from the profits of my first solo photo book -Sea

Thanks everyone who was involved and especially those who purchased a copy

Thank you so much Tim. Pleased you like it and agree the handmade book is extra special. @paulgotts.bsky.social has some skill
I have so many photo books it now takes something a bit special for me to buy another. But my handmade copy of Sea by @andrewatkinson.bsky.social turned up this week. Absolutely stunning work - both the photographs and the handmade itself. Huge thanks Andrew.

Today we head to Roa Island from my trip to the Lake District. Weather wasn’t great so headed to the coast.

The lifeboat station at the end of the island stood out to me

It’s been many years since I’ve been to this location but it really is a lively area of the Lake District

Some people say Ai is no good. However, sometimes it works

I think this year I will try and add more people in my work. This was on Keel Bridge, a new footbridge connecting each side of the river Wear

Too busy at work last week to get out so here is my mam. She has dementia and this is part of a collection of nearly 130 images I’ve been taking over the last couple of years

I’m trying to follow in the footsteps of @circa35mm.bsky.social and take at least one image a week. It’s going ok and managed a couple this week.

Great conditions yesterday morning at Keel Bridge in Sunderland. It’s a new foot bridge over the river Wear

The snow came down that meant one thing. Head out with the camera. It started amazingly with snow and mist, couldn’t have asked for better conditions. Then Oooops!! Over I go followed by a trip to A&E, no pun intended

Still working through images from the Isle of Harris. This maybe the last one but will revisit the library from time to time as I will have missed some good work.

Still working through my Isle of Harris work.

Is it just me but does the Isle of Harris grab you and make you want to head back. A quiet place with a pace of life I yearn for.

Soon I will come to the end of the images from my trip to the Isle of Harris. Then will just have to head back.

I’m not known for colourful sunrises but couldn’t resist this one
