You should be concerned about the rate of authors leaving publishing. Especially from marginalized communities. This year I have seen so many authors just pack it up and go. And it's only getting worse.

I can't wait to talk more about Iapyx, he shows up in book 1 but doesn't recognize Icarus. We'll see more of him in book 2 and beyond 👀👀👀

ooo! i never get to talk about Iapyx!

Iapyx is Icarus' little brother & replacement in the Elysian Program. He's not as much a fighter as Icarus was, but very gifted in healing for ATLAS

He's also got lots of issues that come to a head when he meets Icarus 10 years after his father killed him.

a comparable program that's natively compatible with linux is manuskript, but i've already got so much in scrivener that it's gonna take a lot of convincing for me to switch over lol

i think for me ghe difference is in organizational capabilities and not having to write in one long document or keep track of multiple docs. since each scene is a standalone document within the scrivener file, you only have to keep track of one thing on the backend!

LibreOffice is a really good word substitute but I don't think I could use it for anything longer than a novella. Scrivener's more of an organizer with doc writing capabilities imo, this is my current scrivener set up for writing:
