I block racists, bigots and idiots. If I block you choose your category
Views mine and do not relate to my employer.
I've been told I lack emotional intelligence which brought to mind this line from Douglas Adams
"My doctor says I have a malformed public duty gland and a natural deficiency in moral fibre, and that I am therefore excused from saving universes."

I'd like to apologise if at any point I've implied that REFORM UK members are entirely thick bigots. Clearly this is unfair. REFORM UK members are traitorous and Putin-apologist thick bigots. I will endeavour to be more clear in the future.

I stumbled on Stand by Me by accident at a uni video night waiting to watch Top Gun. Still the greatest film about childhood anyone has ever made. I saw a Few Good Men in my first couple of weeks in Nottingham. Spinal Tap still makes me laugh until it hurts.
RIP Rob Reiner, One of the good guys

Credit where its due. Scottish Govt are systematically investing in low carbon and more efficient electrified railways across Central Valley. Bravo.
Rachel Reeves is blocking this for MML. For goodness sake.

Rule I'd pass if President of Earth:
Use of the phrase "without further ado" by podcasters is punishable by death
"Ado" is also call "waffling" and happens because you haven't scripted it properly

One Trot faction sitting in the hall,
And if one Trot faction should have a nasty squall,
There'll be two Trot factions sitting in the hall

Your Party's fate is so funny it hurts. Corbyn can't work with others, organise or prioritise. Sultana is clearly just obnoxious. They have nothing in common with independent MPs. I said Hard left were useless when I left Labour. The damage of BREXIT their only lasting legacy

Some say Jeremy Corbyn is too non-committal for project to work, while others blame Zarah Sultana’s combative nature

If anyone whinges about the mansion tax there are only 31 properties on Rightmove within 20 mile radius of Nottingham (includes all Derby + bits of Notts, Derbys, Leics, Lincs). Some cool manor houses in parkland.
Outside SE England this ONLY affects premiership footballers and the super-rich.

For this tunnel to be effective then need to upgrade:
M2 to 3 lanes
A2 (Canterbury - Dover) to M2 with 2/3 lanes (some now single)
New access into Dover port and border controls
Otherwise just moving congestion from Dartford to Kent & Dover
Rail Freight instead?

Things I hate:
CrossCountry train seats which weren't designed for full size adults
Randomly changing trains at Gloucester
Insecure Station wifi when you're trying to work
Hotels next to railway station which don't start breakfast until 630 am

Its going to be a good day isn't it

@kermodemovie.bsky.social there is a Norwegian Glam Metal Album called "667 The Neighbour of the Beast". I doubt that its any good but a great title.

@alastaircampbell2.bsky.social @rory-stewart.bsky.social In the aftermath of the covid enquiry report it feels like you weren't hard enough on Gove for his championing of Cummings. His charm deflected question on his decision making and his choice of this bully which ultimately cost lives.

Come the revolution use of the phrase "milquetoast" will be a capital offence. Yes this means you, citizens of America. Buy a dictionary, find a comprehensible world that doesn't make you sound like a moron.

Facebook in MELTDOWN because @mynottingham.bsky.social have the TEMERITY to install a new bridge for cyclists / pedestrians. HOW DARE THEY not build a road bridge somewhere else at many times the cost?
I disagree with much Nottm CC have done but they deserve all the kudos for getting this built

Dear Corbynite left.
A LW candidate winning NYC mayor says little about UK politics. But one thing you could learn is that part of his appeal is he's a polite and decent guy who welcomes supporters. Insulting everyone who doesn't meet your purity tests repels others. It why you always lose.

Self-appointed worthless ultra-nimby Nottingham Civic Society complaining about redevelopment of eye-sore Broadmarsh site complaining of the loss of historic building Big City Tyres. Just admit you hate people and want no jobs or housing. Pathetic.

It's easy to pontificate on Labour govt failings so here's my shot.
Stop chasing reform vote's they are old working class voters screaming into the void. What upsets them is the C21st. No remedy will satisfy them. Ignore them.
Invest in a hopeful, fairer UK with opportunity for all.

Bad luck Zac Polanski. I may not agree with you about many things but I'm not sure what you've done to earn the indignity of Owen Jones' endorsement.
OJ is the kiss of death for political careers, he'll be screaming "sellout" before Easter. Because its all about him.

Went into Nottingham B&Q last night not long before it closed. Despite the store being quiet there was a large queue for 1 open till. So asked customer services why they didn't open more and got a rant about staff cuts.
All fair enough
Except the closed tills were all self service. Huh?

Your reminder from Corbyn-era Labour: party membership nos are vanity. Individuals being enthusiastic about a party means nothing (eg @greenparty.org.uk today) .
Winning elections is what counts and voters reward competence: @libdems.org.uk won 7/10 council byelections last week.

Fair point, Polanski seems like he must be young because he acts like a teenager
I'd drop the 'young' bit too. He's a few weeks younger than I am.

There needs to be a UK criminal investigation into Prince Andrew. If he were anyone else he'd already have been interviewed by police and probably charged if any of those women were under 16. A truly disgusting man.
