This confirms the earlier reporting of Switch 2 holiday sales being down v Switch 1 (2017), while it's still the fastest selling console of all time.

A lot of people were able to get one over the Summer. New games in 2026 should keep demand high, despite the headwinds.

Nintendo Switch 2 closed out 2025 with a total of 4.4 million sold in the US, according to research firm Circana's end-of-year hardware and software reports.
