I just received my copy of Half Mystic’s Sevdah issue, and it’s beautiful! Look at the amazing art by Sjafril paired with my poem, “Psyche Before the Mirror” as well as the very witchy cover art. You can get your own copy via Half Mystic Press.

Thrilled to have my poem, “Psyche Before the Mirror" included in Half Mystic Journal’s recent issue. I also wrote an essay for Half Mystic on the theme of sevdah (its music, melancholy, and longing) and how it informs my poem about the Psyche myth (see bio for links to read them:). #poetry #essay

Excited to get RHINO in the mail today! I'm honored that my poem, "Garden Patch, or, After Eden" is included in their new issue. Writing this poem reminded me that compassion is the human path. Thanks to @rhinopoetry.bsky.social for publishing it. Get your copy of issue 49 from #rhinopoetry

Grateful to The Lindenwood Review for publishing my prose poem, "Every Flower Into Memory." This poem sprang from a short solo hike in central Washington that turned into a deep communion with my surroundings and nature's subtleties. Read the whole issue free online at The Lindenwood Review.

Feeling grateful to have a poem out in Whale Road Review's new issue. "Pricks” was written during a time when I was struggling with my body's physical limitations and also with the world's restrictions on women's bodies. Read the issue @whaleroadreview.bsky.social. #whaleroadreview #pricks #poem

“Tomorrow will bring a different mess,” writes Maria Koors in “The Optimist’s Almanac.” As I’ve prepared this Spring 2025 issue, I’ve been thinking about the messes that continue to pile up, both personal and shared.

Happy to share that a reflection piece of mine was published on the Rooted2 Substack. The nonfiction micro essay was inspired by the thorny trees & plants plentiful around my mother-in-law's home in rural Argentina. Visit the link in bio to read the full story. #rooted2 #trees #thorns #writing

Going through my mom's stored photos, I found an old/young pic of my dad. I showed my mom, and she said: "That's a good photo." I get it, Mom.

Check out this giant rubber tree plant in the Recoleta neighborhood in BA. It dates back to 1800, and some of its branches are the size of tree trunks. They made statues to support them:)

I've stopped by this water shrine to la Difunta Correa in Córdoba Province, Argentina, many times & it keeps growing. I'm grateful for all the sacred places people create, to my mother-in-law, Viviana Gaeta, for these pics & to The Common for publishing my piece about the shrine in their Dispatches.
