I'm not taking away responsibility from the security guards. They should have done better. But Twitchcon and other conventions need better security people that are trained to deal with stalkers and other dangerous people. They should have proper security protocols.

I'm sure there are great security people out there but the ones most cons like Twitchcon hires are just random people. Often one of the cheapest companies they can find. That doesn't train or prepare their employees properly for the job. And that puts us all in danger.

This situation with Twitchcon security isn't just a Twitchcon issue. Security at most conventions suck. I've personally had security harass me and damage my cosplay props. I've had them ignore my complaints regarding sexual harassment. And ignore someone in danger.

I did some more practicing. But, one ended up turning into a human form fan art of Surge the Tenrec from the IDW Sonic comic books. Also, finally looked up what a tenrec is while drawing her. And they do look like a punk version of a hedgehog. 😆
