Also, I've been looking for a good option to use as a portable mouse pad for Switch 2 mouse games, and a tablet cover works great. Lightweight, but sturdy, and the controller easily slides across it

2 worlds done in Mario & Wario. I dunno how long the later levels are gonna get, but I'll probably finish it over the weekend.

Honestly, this might be some of my favorite Mario pixel art on the SNES. It comes so close to matching the 2D Mario art of the era, it's great!

(Not really related, but as much as I prefer the original Strikers, it's been really funny watching people play it for the first time and realize how identical in scope it is to Battle League, lmao. I was saying that for YEARS, man. People mainly remember the Wii one.)

Still thinking about a "Worst sequels ever" list I saw that included *every* Switch Mario Sports game and like... including Tennis Aces already makes that wrong, but the other two are still fun games that just aren't worth their price. Letdowns, sure, but worst *ever*? Really...?

When you play a lot of games, you quickly learn that the ones people claim are the worst are often just... mediocre.

You tend to be more forgiving when you see how bad games can actually get.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

In Donkey Kong Bananza, DK's banana awareness is tied to how far the camera is zoomed out. If the bananas are offscreen, this can create the impression of him playing a silly game with the camera where he makes a funny face only when the player isn't looking closely.

If there's one thing in World that CrossWorlds made me appreciate, it's having something to do between races. That's where I felt the open world shone most, as a hangout with friends during the downtime.

I spend so much time on my CrossWorlds streams just... checking my phone.

It really can't be said enough: the goal of the "anti-woke" movement was always to destroy social norms against bigotry. And it worked. And there's a whole lot of purportedly "left" thinkers & commentators who helped it -- indeed, it couldn't have been done without them.

Mario Kart World's definitely an overhated game. People treat it like the red headed stepchild but you can't say it's a lazy soulless product. The open world is so intricate, & with all the music, costumes, & characters, it's jam packed.

Even with lots of one way races, I appreciate the experiment.

Every once in a while, I see people wonder why, out of all of the available Pokémon to choose, Poliwhirl was so often shown front and center. Especially in the case of Pokémon's marketing in America.
