Been reading IDW Sonic digitally for a long time, but now I'm debating if I wanna start collecting the hardcovers, or the trade paperbacks.

(Actually, looking it up, I think my math was a bit off. Wii U VC had 311 games, but I had it marked as 318 for some reason. Guess I wanted to give the Wii U more credit, lmao.

Anyways, at this point NSO has passed all prior VCs except the Wii. That one is still a ways away, but it's inevitable)

The inclusion of Bubsy is... also surprising, to be honest.

Both because a collection JUST released less than a month ago, but also, from what I can tell... I think this is the first game to list Atari as the publisher on either Switch Online OR Virtual Console? Unless I'm missing something...

If the next update isn't a single game (for instance, a Gamecube update), it'll mark a milestone for the service as a whole. But I'll talk about that one when it's time.

The SNES app has seen a surprising number of Mario spinoffs that skipped all prior Virtual Consoles in the west.

Updated the #NSO Classics chart with today's update

- Fatal Fury Special

With this update (and the lack of NES lately), the SNES library is very close to passing NES for the largest collection on the service. This year's also the most games SNES has seen added since 2020.

Mario & Wario is exciting though! That game rules, and was probably my biggest want for the SNES app once they added mouse support.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I really don't think this Pikmin short is anything more than just an animated short by Nintendo Pictures. I don't get any vibe there's a tease for a game or bigger announcement.

And animation isn't "pointless" because it isn't trying to sell you a specific product.

Alright, it's been a ton of work, but the thumbnails on my archive channel are (almost) all updated!

All that's left is the back half of the Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life playthrough, but I was drawing custom thumbnails for those ones. I'll get around to that last batch of illustrations soon!

Also, it turns out making the Sonic thumbnails is easy because the final files for that animation were lost in the hard drive failure last year!!! The backups are incomplete versions!

Particularly happy with the ones for the art VODs. I don't think every art stream ended up getting archived, but after Chibi-Robo is done, I wanna start doing art streams more regularly.

I need an excuse to draw for fun, or to make time for webcomic work, man.

Still gotta make thumbnails for Fields of Mistria, River City Girls 2, Master Duel, the rest of A Wonderful Life, and a handful of one-off streams.
