Made of Spare Parts. Infertility advocate. Talk inclusively about Reproductive Rights. Missouri is nicer than it seems.

Springfield, MO
Pinned
My name is Angela Crawford.

I went through 3 years of infertility. Because I went through so much pain I needed as much good to come from that experience as possible.

I started an Infertility support group.

This is my story.

'Not alone’: Missourians experiencing infertility say insurance is a major hurdle to care • Missouri Independent
A group of Springfield, Missouri, women meet monthly to talk about infertility. They hope lawmakers will care about their stories too.

Kids have rights too.
This whole so-called “parents rights” movement the right has taken up and the left is supposed to kowtow to for votes is so obviously anti-child it really bothers me to see it presented as anything other than justification for abusive “parenting” and disregard for actual science on child development

Just... Do your best folks. You aren't your capitalism and I won't purity test you into oblivion.

But there are some obvious choices and obvious alternatives that can be made that we can all try to adopt.
The only surefire way to stop oligarchs buying up the things we love is to drop those things the moment oligarchs buy them & that requires changing habits and massive self-discipline.
It means going to alternatives that might not be quite as good or convenient.
It’s really hard. But there it is.

I have a question. Why is @stlpublicradio.bsky.social often so soft on Josh Hawley?

It seems like they spend a lot of time talking about the things he says, but not about the votes he takes.

Am I wrong here?

I'd be tempted to shout back "fuck off, old man" not just because it's deserved but because there's a good chance that kind of pushback would enrage him enough to make The Day We're All Waiting For finally happen.

We can make men lactate.

Oh RFK Jr can fuck all the way off and literally go to hell.

I'm ready to perform a seance to get in touch with Satan directly to create his own custom hell.

I care about this topic a lot and have actively tried to get expansion of these benefits for everyone for the last 7 years.

Our military members deserve better.

Women who want to pull the ladder up behind them do not understand their history of how they got there.

Y'all have the same "pick me" energy of Phyllis Schlafly.
Women who uphold the patriarchy and constantly demean feminism should not be online spouting their opinions on their own social media platforms.

You shouldn’t have an opinion or a platform. Let your husband do that for you…

SCOTUS keeps giving a lot of power away to Trump.

It is a requirement for the next Democrat candidate to promise to pack the courts, expand SCOTUS, and mandate ethics reform.

That candidate must fully leverage all the power given to them by the Roberts court.

No matter how bad you think this is, I guarantee it's worse after you read this.
1. CNN and CNBC recently announced partnerships with Kalshi, a prediction market that lets you place bets on the news.

Now, every story is a casino game.

Although Kalshi's popularity has exploded, it remains relatively small and vulnerable to political manipulation.

New partnerships between the prediction market Kalshi and cable TV networks will transform every news event into a betting opportunity.

The neonatal movement is bizarre.

If those at the head of that movement actually cared about birth rates, they'd ask the people who want to have kids "what do you need?" Instead of scolding people that don't want kids.

It's that time of year where I re-listen to some sort of comfort story.

Trying to decide between The Adventure Zone Podcast: Balance and Dresden Files.

Should probably do Dresden Files since a new book drops next month.

I was shocked when the local Dem County Director told me I was a person whose opinion was impactful.

That's not why I do this, but here we are.
I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

His greatest contribution for me is in From Dusk Till Dawn.
