Fascinating about vehicle travel times. Bike lanes everywhere!
DDOT continues to publish before/after analyses of safety projects. The numbers for the 9th street NW bike lanes suggest that we should be doing these projects everywhere we can. Crashes plummeted, pedestrian and bike traffic skyrocketed, and vehicle travel times dropped.

Statehood for D.C. is an ethical obligation at this point, required to protect the rights of our residents to govern ourselves against such out-of-state troops being sent to patrol our city.
NEW: Republican-led states, in a new filing at the D.C. Circuit, say D.C. residents are irrelevant, D.C. belongs to everyone else. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The filing is led by the South Carolina and West Virginia attorneys general. Both states sent troops to DC.

The National Realtors Association should make it a point of going over potential insurance rates and how banks are using this information to protect their investments making it more expensive to get a mortgage.
Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

Great strategy and I would love to see it all over DC.
Oregon's new statewide model zoning code includes a huge density bonus for community land trust & limited or shared equity co-op homes if all are affordable at up to 120% of median income.

Putting land into shared ownership for 90+ years gives you 3 additional stories, up to a total of 6!

Paul’s at the forefront of American housing policy. Tying together YIMBYism, public finance, and public development, he’s building *the model* for American social housing.

Now he’s been appointed to Zohran’s Transition Committee on Housing. We at @publicenterprise.bsky.social couldn’t be prouder!

I understand the large possibility of an AI fueled Data Center bubble but still don’t get how this is related to broader Data Center market. Are these just some of the big hyperscalers or does this also include the cloud based and retail facilities that are more common?
"It seems like a marvel of financial engineering: Meta is building a $27 billion data center in Louisiana, financed with debt, and neither the data center nor the debt will be on its own balance sheet."
