You don't get to run around all over the globe chanting "Globalize the intifada," then pretend to be shocked, surprised, and sad when Jewish people get murdered.

We see you.

My beloved and I went to a light display tonight presently showing in the San Francisco Botanical Garden. Given the harshness of what today has held, being surrounded by light cutting through the darkness seemed a meaningful place to be.

I love this 🧵 as I love my Jewish friends, neighbors, and the community entire. May the Light of Miracles illuminate and warm your souls in these dark times.
It’s the first night of Hanukkah and the world seems like a very dark place. But we can bring light to the darkness. We can fight for each other and make goodness, love, and community shine through.

Show me your menorahs and let’s light up the timeline!

Woke up in Japantown, ate lunch in Chinatown, had coffee in Union Square, and drinks at the Fairmont. Christmas in San Francisco is happening!

Molly speaks my heart as well. We are heartbroken in our home this morning.
Dear Jewish Friends,
I have no words except to lift you up in love.
My heart breaks for you on this first day of Hanukkah, which should be a festival of light, not a day of darkness.

Sweet story of the day. There are good people all around us.

I’m gonna say this once and then leave it alone.

If you are wondering how you can join the”resistance”, volunteer somewhere—hand out food, tutor a kid, help your neighbor. You will feel better about yourself and help someone who needs it!!
So I volunteered tonight at Brother Bills Helping Hand—lots of toys and parents getting to “shop” for presents for the kids. I helped make what seemed like a 100 beaded friendship bracelets but it was the most fun I had all year! Tons of toys!

Got the dreaded ”we see something unusual on your mammogram results” phone call yesterday. Went back in this morning for another mamo and ultrasound. The radiologist looked at everything and said “You’re all clear!”
Women, stay up on your yearly mamo. It’s not fun but it can save your life.

Same as my wife. She couldn’t quit her deadend desk job until ACA made it possible for her to get individual insurance with her pre-existing conditions. Because of ACA she was able to go to graduate school & become a licensed marriage & family therapist in which she has excelled. Total game changer.
In November 2014, I lost a job due to a layoff. The provision in the ACA that prohibited health insurance companies from denying coverage due to preexisting conditions allowed me to get individual coverage without any disruption.
Republicans have tried over 70 times to try and repeal the ACA and have never produced a better plan. Or ANY PLAN. The ACA was the best the Dems could do with the assholes in Congress so stop saying the two parties are the same, you hellsent stupid fucknuts.

THE ACA SAVED MY LIFE.

She’s still the same old MTG she told us she was from Day One. Those of you who wanted to widen our tent to include her can cancel the redemption tour already.
Rep. MTG just announced that her bill to JAIL parents & doctors who help young trans people access care will be brought up for a vote next week—instead of anything meaningful to avert the healthcare crisis the GOP created.

We're going to do everything we can to defeat this bill.

So let me get this straight… A Nazi-tattooed white man who’s pushed anti-Black and anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and worked as a Blackwater mercenary is acceptable BUT a Black woman running for a Senate nomination is somehow a nonstarter?

Yall are never beating the allegations.

Mr. Lester, that’s a nasty skin lesion you’ve got there. Looks a lot like cancer. Would you like to take home a balloon for the kids?

It’s been nearly 16 years but I still stop and look through the Christmas cards for Mom in the greeting card section every year. I would give literally anything…anything besides my wife and dog but otherwise anything….

OUR neighbors are being terrorized by the government of the United States. Just another day in hell on earth.

And as I always add because it’s absolutely true, it didn’t have to be this way.
