if you need something mildly amusing; i've been trying (read: stumbling arse backwards) to make some more complicated items as 3D models to make things easier for me, but. i am. notoriously allergic to anything 3D and have no idea what i'm doing, so the result is... about what you'd expect.
a weird arrangement of shapes in blender that is meant to be. Something??? an attempted 3d model with some truly impeccable topography.

i think it's gotten to the point where the real focus of these zines is no longer sharing a community's various works, but showing off what cool Big Mildly Famous Artists they got to make art for them (with a few fillers graced with the honour of being included). and it sucks ass.

find the part you hate doing the most and figure out a way to minimise it. personally my sketches are extremely basic (perspective guides and rough lines) and i treat the actual sketch as the inks.
also seconding limited palettes and gradient maps, those are a life saver.

i'm so glad one other person remembers murdoch mysteries thus proving i didn't hallucinate it because the CHOKEHOLD that show had on me age 11 was mildly concerning
