‘Your call is important to us…’ but voters are losing patience.

@greenmirandahere.bsky.social nails the issues in our latest

More than half the country don’t know what Keir Starmer stands for.

No such confusion on Farage. Even if they don’t agree.

Can anybody hear No.10? We checked. Most big government announcements are forgotten in a day.

The only exception to this rule is Digital ID - which peaked 50 times higher than most other announcements and is still sustaining interest 3 weeks on.

It’s time for a much needed and overdue debate in order to secure the future of mainstream, democratic politics. There can be no holding back, no pulling punches, and no sacred cows. labourlist.org/2025/10/no-s... @ed-owen.bsky.social speaks about the show in @labourlist.bsky.social today.

Unless we are willing to have no-holds-barred conversations with voters the left on both sides of the Atlantic will not win back trust.

Government has a lot of catching up to do with the public on immigration.
Second episode of @nosacredcows.media out now!
🚨NEW EPISODE - We've turned our attention to immigration - an issue some dare not speak of, or perhaps now you cannot talk about enough. @FrankSharry joins the herd to talk about whether the centre-left needs to ditch its timidity and worry. Listen now. open.spotify.com/episode/7r4z...

But unless we fix high-skilled visas, we’ll miss this moment - just like all the others.

Labour’s breakfast club plan could be a legacy-defining success story, but only – says @annacmcshane.bsky.social – if lessons from the National Tutoring Programme fiasco are learned – and the pitfalls avoided: buff.ly/ID96Ckm #teaching #schools #edusky

Primary school breakfast clubs are in the news again for all the wrong reasons.

Of course, listeners to my recent podcast with @annacmcshane.bsky.social and @beccapaddock.bsky.social will have seen this coming a mile off.

Listen to our conversation here:

Critics of the government’s early adopter breakfast club scheme have warned that schools are only getting 60p per pupil for food and staff, but the DfE maintains the amount is “almost £1 per child”. So, who is right? We investigate here… ⬇️
Fact check: are school breakfast clubs getting 60p per pupil?
The DfE disputes the amount being widely quoted as the going rate – so how much are schools in the government’s breakfast clubs pilot actually getting?

Those who voted for Brexit might be still sceptical of Europe but they’re not sceptical of security, control and sovereignty.

The Prime Minister’s trip to Europe today isn’t about reopening old debates. It’s a chance to start a new one - about what real power looks like in a volatile world, and how Britain gets it back.

Worth a listen if you're interested in Breakfast Clubs
Exactly as my recent podcast with @annacmcshane.bsky.social and @beccapaddock.bsky.social predicted.

Insufficient funding and support for breakfast clubs in primary schools will only end one way.

If there’s a soundtrack to broken Britain, this might be it.

It’s not just queues & forms - it’s a crisis of trust, and it’s moving voters.
