We are a member of FreshwaterH2O of @cu-esiil.bsky.social. We made the projects forward through team building, working together, and many discussions. We sometimes create dataset, analyze data, discuss the results, go hiking, and grab chocolate. This week was so productive!

Microplastics are in Lake Champlain and in us. These scientists want to know their source
Researchers on Lake Champlain are doubling down on years of research to try to figure out how tiny pieces of toxic plastic are getting into the lake, which serves some 200,000 people with drinking wat...

Information provided by GLOS supports the regional marine economy, improves forecasts, and supports decision-making and nearshore safety for countless stakeholders. Cutting or reducing funding would have wide-ranging impacts on Great Lakes communities’ economies and safety.

Proposed NOAA cuts put Great Lakes research, safety at risk, experts say
A White House budget proposal would slash funding for Minnesota and Wisconsin Sea Grants, Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve, Great Lakes Observing System and others.
