as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.

When I do #art I’m proud of, I have the urge to post it EVERYWHERE. Here’s my latest #dnd character for a Greek gods campaign. She’s (shockingly) Poseidon’s champion. Zephyra is a water genasi, oath of the open sea paladin.
She’s v different than what I normally play- so excited!

I need TikTok’s algorithm to realize that mentioning something ≠ promoting it. I complained about having to close windows bc cigarette smells gives me headaches and it got restricted for “promoting drug use.”
Like???? That’s the exact opposite of promoting it 😩

The deep irony that I used to so deeply suppress my anger that I claimed I’d “never been angry” and the last few years my energy has only remained bolstered by an ongoing, burning fury of righteous anger is not lost on me.
Oh, how we grow and change.

I would like to point out that if the U.S. gov ACTUALLY cared about increasing the birth rate: universal healthcare (so birth isn’t so expensive), mandated paid parental leave, and investing in the entire education & health systems would be fantastic places to start.

Did the Pope really wait for one more Easter blessing before he passed? That makes me feel emotional and I’m not even Catholic.

I’m tired of tiers of subscription models locking off content I USED to have access to; seriously makes me want use my “scream now” pillow much more often. I’m tired of capitalism 😭

Maybe it’s the fall of democracy making me lose it- but I just got bangs in my hair for the first time since I was 7 for a bit of a change (in my control). 😅😬

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.

Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

In his 1957 filibuster, Strom Thurmond said "Negroes ... are not so well qualified to vote as are the white people.”

A Black senator just broke the record Thurmond set with that speech.
