Another fine day on Arran. Giant fungi, red squirrels, and dolphins. And chips. Beautiful.

If this is true about local laws forcing them to cut garden lawns, that's pretty mental. The residents association (or whatever they're called) would not like my lawn...

I don't know how @climatetown.bsky.social keeps getting better, but their newest video on how awful lawns are is not to be missed

Yup looks like a cornucopia right enough. I notice that the moth's left wing isn't finished too! Still lovely :)

My dad was pretty upset when I cracked it!

Maybe it's not ham and hops... Always thought it was, but not sure now!

Our prized family Guinness tankard. Engraved by my dad or my uncle. My uncle I think. Ham, hops, and a moth!

It has a massive crack through the bottom (hence the black hat instead of Guinness in the pictures here to show the engraving), where I washed it as a kid and then rinsed it in cold water...

Enid, the surprising and eccentric owner of the brilliant Sound Records in Stroud, UK, has an encyclopaedic knowledge of jazz, soul, funk, ocean fish and wool.
Enid the cat on top of the Soul & Funk section in (the old, smaller) Sound Records in Stroud.

One day, nearly 2000 years ago, a cat dashed across some drying tiles, somewhere near Hadrian's Wall.

It's immortality of a kind, isn't it?
Photo of square orange tiles, set into the ground, across one of which several cats footprints are clearly visible.
