Shocking Defeat of the Daleks! ⚡️😱⚡️
Rendered in #Blender3D with post-production in Photoshop
A CG image showing a 1960s-style Dalek being electrocuted from behind by a Cyberman. Behind this pair, four more Cybermen are advancing. The setting is a vaguely surreal mix of physical architecture and graphical elements

One final Cyberman portrait today, from Revenge of the Cybermen (1975). #Blender3D

Revenge is coming, but not for a week or so...

The last of this week's Cyberman portraits, from The Invasion (1968). Rendered in #Blender3D
A CG render of a Cyberman from The Invasion. Looking slightly up at it.

Today's Cyberman portrait is from The Wheel in Space (1968). Rendered in #Blender3D
A CG Cyberman render of the type seen in The Wheel in Space. He looks to the left

Today's Cyberman portrait is the Cyber Controller from The Tomb of the Cybermen (1967). Rendered in #Blender3D
A CG image of the Cyber Controller. A low angle view. He looks to the left, his large cranium towering above him with some fake-looking red veins visible on his evidently semi-organic brain area.

Cyber portrait number 2, from The Moonbase (1967). Rendered in #Blender3D
A CG image of a Cyberman as seen in The Moonbase. It looks to the right with an emotionless and passive solid shell of a face.

I'll be posting a Cyberman portrait every day this week! Starting with The Tenth Planet, this is a collaboration with @themindrobber.bsky.social who did most of the sculpting work. Rendered in #Blender3D
A CG image of the earliest Cyberman, as seen in The Tenth Planet. Head and shoulders visible, facing slightly to the right

No time to post much lately, so in an effort to keep my timeline alive, here are a couple of Cybus Cybermen, rendered in #Blender3D
A CGI render of a 2006-era Cyberman, the perspective is a slightly low angle. Neutral dark background. A CGI render of a 2006-era Cyberman, the perspective is face-on. Neutral dark background.

Chris Addison once threw a packet of Super Noodles at me. I don't recall what flavour.

The last of these three tin plate posters for Hachette. Dalek Sec and the Cult of Skaro from Army of Ghosts! #doctorwho #daleks #posterdesign
A completely CGI poster. In the middle the black Dalek Sec is hovering towards us, behind him are the rest of the Cult of Skaro; Thay, Jast and Caan. Title text 'Army of Ghosts' is at the bottom.

Seems the version I referred to is different than that on iPlayer... Interesting
antlamb.bsky.social
Hmm, I literally took this from the opening titles of the TV story

The second tin plate poster for Hachette's build-a-Dalek magazine! This one was especially fun, Genesis being a particular favourite of mine. I've always wanted to do a poster for it. #doctorwho #daleks #posterdesign
Poster design for Genesis of the Daleks. Generally teal in colour, at the top left is a close up of Davros, to his right is Tom Baker as The Doctor, in the background to the right are four soldiers traversing landscape. At the bottom of the image, three grey Daleks dominate the scene. They're all firing their death rays. In the background behind them a missile is seen about to strike a domed city. Title text 'GENESIS OF THE DALEKS' is in the bottom middle.

The first of several tin plate posters I made for Hachette's build-a-dalek magazine. The physical pieces include embossed areas for extra fun! I don't have one yet, otherwise I'd include a photo of the physical copy. Maybe later! #doctorwho #daleks #posterdesign
Poster design. A tapering central column, dark red at the top, blue at the bottom. Title text 'The Daleks' is at the bottom, and above that are characters Alydon, Ian, The Doctor, Barbara, and Susan. A magnedon creature is to the right. Above the characters in the red area are three Daleks towering over all that is below.

DWM's Cybermen spesh - what a thing of absolute beauty from Marcus, @senrabnala.bsky.social, @themindrobber.bsky.social, @antlamb.bsky.social, Alastair, Peri and the whole team. Does any other TV show inspire publications made not just with such talent, but with such *love*?

Cybermen incoming! I rendered lots of Cybermen for this new bookazine. Lots of writing by @0tralala.bsky.social and @themindrobber.bsky.social (who also sculpted some Cybermen!). Was really fun to work on. www.panini.co.uk/shp_gbr_en/d...
Front cover of Doctor Who bookazine titled 'CYBERMEN - THE ULTIMATE GUIDE'. Behind that text are three Cybermen. The Central one is closer to us and reaches out towards us.

An exciting development! I guess Seegson is too small a company to sit round that particular table... 🤔 But I'd love to hear a little mention of them at some point.

Cover image and packshot by myself, with art direction from @stuartcrouchcreative

#music #jimkerr #simpleminds #albumcover #albumart #albumcoverart #cgiart #blender3d
Image shows an interpretation of the traditional Simple Minds claddagh; a pair of hands bracketing a globe, with a crown above. All rendered in crystal against a pure black background. Text above reads 'Simple Minds'. Text below is the album title - 'Live in the City of Diamonds' A CGI packshot of this release. Gatefold cover standing up at the rear, with two transparent glittery vinyls and corresponding sleeves flat out in front. All on a white background.

I love Voyager. I recall it getting hate upon release in the '90s, but thankfully in more recent years I rarely see complaints about it. Takes a few years to really find its feet though, like most Trek.
