actually this is really dumb, like if you are on train 10 (the first wb train out of south bend) trying to go to dyer it will stop at hammond gateway at 6:22a, and about 20 minutes later eb train 301 comes rolling through and doesn't stop, and instead you have to wait for nearly 3 hours

skipping the transfer station seems really bizarre though, I guess they expect people to transfer at hegewisch instead?

well they could probably stand to run more trains but also any of the monon-branch trains that aren't shuttles don't stop at hammond gateway, i don't know if this is cause of the track configuration but it is extremely weird

a lot of the scheduling woes used to be due to the 3 track bottleneck at 18th street, but the transfer schedule here doesn't make any sense to me bc it's basically impossible to go from wb monon -> eb lakeshore or vice versa without an extremely long wait

grand should be closed to cars for the duration of the halsted viaduct construction, cars can easily use the ohio street feeder ramp, they don't need to block buses on grand

the city should be keeping track of travel times and transit capacity across the city and if there are any problem areas they should be acting immediately to improve them unilaterally

there was a 40+ minute gap so i ended up divvying and there were probably 5-6 people at every stop
the city really needs to take a holistic approach when approving events, construction, or anything else that affects bus routes to ensure throughput, headways, and travel times are not affected

i burn my defenders spinning to the baseline while either in the corner or while moving towards the corner after a rebound and i think it's interesting how everyone expects a guard to go for the baseline whenever possible but they never expect a big to do the same thing
i got the ball in the right corner late in the second half, and got my defender to bite on a right to left crossover and then burned her with a spin to the baseline, got fouled going up for the shot by the help defender, and then airballed my first free throw and bricked the second
funny cause on one hand i only scored 4 points tonight and made 8 completely boneheaded plays but on the other hand i actually was killing it on defense

im so fucking sore today, playing 2 hours of pickup and then playing in a playoff game against the team that knocked us out in the spring season on back to back days after 7 weeks of doing jack shit was maybe too much too fast
