Every time I cook with soft, or (especially) silken tofu, I get a little bit better at it. But I also get a little more infuriated with it. I swear, I thought *I* was fragile, but....

Bottom left was almost definitely how I looked when frying oliebollen the other week. Actually just this whole thing in general seems accurate to recent baking attempts.

I don't know that I trust the scientists on this one - this sounds a bit far-fetched.

More Thai restaurants (and just takeaways in general) need an option on the order form for you to tell them "please. Just punish my taste buds. Regular spicy is not enough, I want real spicy." This has made a chilly, kinda eh Sunday evening so much nicer.

I ended up taking Friday off, and there's an outside chance it might snow a little that morning, and I'm very glad for both, because man. Between this cold I've been dealing with, and just a lot of really tiring and draining things, I think I need one of those mornings of just hot cocoa and quiet.

Elf make oliebollen...? Well, kinda. They came out a bit darker than intended, though they still taste great. I don't normally post photos of first attempts or experiments, but this is a recipe I would really like to get my head around and get good at. And hey! First time deep frying, and no fires!
