I feel guilty about my lack of funds to donate and that my current situation doesn't allow for attending protests.

There's also a large amount of familial disconnection. My parents were immigrants, there's just the 4 of us in NZ. The rest are distant in the UK.
My partner has a large whanau but due to his disabilities & trauma he is much like me, & more connected to my tiny family than his own.

My problem is the inability to create wider supportive social connections. There's no social safety net to tap into. My family has always been private, my partner is the same, we are fucked and while I understand the power of community, I/we don't have that. I would foster it if I could but #AvPD

But I do fear it's coming too late as we watch Israel intensify it's genocide, despite more opposition than ever before. We, the people, oppose the genocide, but I fear it's too little too late. As governments flounder under old narratives & the increasing civilian support is largely ignored.

In the 90's I remember seeing kids throwing rocks at tanks being called the terrorists. What? Then, in the early 00s, I learnt more, my support fell on the Palestinians side. That never changed, but I understood the general vibe. There's more hope now, I terms of general support...
