GS-US-382-5445 is the first HIV cure trial conducted in Africa, and in an entirely female population!

Vesatolimod + 2 bNAbs (VRC07-525LD + CAP256V2LS) was well tolerated & yielded durable ART-free virological control in 20% & atypical rebound dynamics in 40%

Not enough women are accessing PrEP, the game-changing #HIV prevention drug.

Thank you, David Mundell MP, Co-Chair of the @appghiv.bsky.social for raising this issue and for highlighting the need to make it available beyond #SexualHealth services to increase access to everyone who needs it.
During yesterdays urgent question on women’s health, co chair David Mundell MP highlighted the issue of PrEP and its uptake among women.

As a person living with #HIV, I can’t help see the parallels between what’s happening to federal agencies like #USAID or the #CDC and a virus that attacks your immune system, takes over a cell’s internal mechanisms for its own purposes and then obliterates the host cell.
