UPDATE: The US House recently moved a bill to extend enhanced premium tax credits for the next three years. The bill currently sits with the US Senate. It must pass the Senate and be signed by the president in order to move forward. (1/6)

Last month our Director of Policy Sue Berkowitz and Special Projects Coordinator Anjani Moro helped lead a webinar and craft materials about the changes to SNAP for 2026 from HR1, the bill that passed last summer that greatly impacts the program.

The US House on Thursday in a 230-196 vote passed a clean 3 year extension of the enhanced premium tax credits! This is a major win for South Carolinians who rely on affordable, quality insurance from the ACA.
