If someone cares about the Global South, they should also care about stopping russia. You don't have to take it from my white American perspective; African journalists and researchers have been doing the work of exposing this. (Yes, the US is bad too. We should all stop fucking around with them.)
Russian intelligence is now supervising Russia’s influence operations in Africa and Latin America, according to a new investigation which exposed a vast network of lobbying, disinformation, but also destabilization plans, serving the interests of the Kremlin.

The president should be impeached and convicted, as should everyone responsible for these outrages. ICE should be disbanded. So should the Department of Homeland Security. And the people who have killed should be investigated and brought before judges and juries.
We have to see the logic of the killings as well as the killings themselves. The horror is a truth in itself. But it is also a sign of a political logic, one known from the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century.
