#StreetoftheWeek: Arklay Street

588 homes were built in 1927-1928 at the Arklay Street Housing Scheme. There were 3 building types stone, brick and concrete. This was partly due to costs but also speed. The scheme is the area between Clepington Road, Arklay Street and Sandeman Street.
