if the republicans thought they could get rich off of banning seat belts they’d do it.
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

I would never support needless, preventable murders as proof of the value of an Amendment that was never about murder.

Starting today, I’m launching a four-day, 15-stop listening tour across Ohio. Across the state, I’m meeting with families, teachers, and local leaders to hear what’s working—and what’s not. Because the best ideas come from the people living them.

my eBike charger was hot to the touch during use. i cut a hole in the case and installed a heat sink. now the case is slightly warm and the heat sink dissipates most of the high temps.
i wonder why they designed these to burn themselves up? a small internal fan wouldn’t break the bank!

The Brookings Institute sums it up perfectly 👇👏
"The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence, and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition"

lots of bad news.
lots of good news fouled by the bad news stench.
mental health strategy:
1. charge the phone, scan timelines until i reach 90% battery, make notes on the calendar for protests, then put the phone down and leave the room.
2. do any fun thing for hours.

So…
I pull into the Schaumburg hotel parking lot, grab my luggage and go inside. The lobby is crowded with happy, loud people attending a wedding reception. I get my key, go to my room, relax a bit, go back to the lobby dining room for supper, watch the bride mingle with friends, fun times.

I have not lost a sock in the dryer for three whole years!
Probably because I retired three years ago and traded steel-toe, electrically-safe work boots for flip flops.
one can’t lose a thing one never uses.
still looking for a suitable replacement for pants.
