A new batch of BSky users means it might be time to reintroduce myself:

My name is Jose Argumedo. I am a director/editor for CNN and I freelance in the anime industry for Viz Media and Discotek Media. I also do photography including (and especially) cosplay, so check out some of my work!
I've got black & white film rolls that need to be used so I'm offering AWA cosplayers absolutely free shoots in black & white. Application has been updated to reflect this change, so if you're interested, time is running out to apply! Application is on my website: arguingmeadows.com

I got my handheld PC mostly set up and ready for docking with Steam Big Picture and it works much better than my original little test. Now that it’s set up on a PC I already have, I’m not considering the Steam Machine anymore… but the Steam Controller is still a maybe to smooth out navigation quirks

Agents Of SHEILD had a bunch of these, most famously when Captain America: Winter Solider blew up the premise of the show and if you didn’t see the movie on opening weekend the show spoiled the twist in the next episode.
After "film trilogy that dropped a critical plot point exclusively via timed Fortnite event" and "video game series whose story only makes sense if you're aware of the events of a canon pachinko machine", I feel like there are whole frontiers of user-hostile narrative design waiting to be explored.

And I got my “non-refundable” Kill Bill ticket. Fandango was really explicit about that. It’s silly, but I’m nostalgic for the version I made based on the 2006 Cannes version by pulling footage from the US Blu-rays and Japanese DVDs. Before anyone asks, no, never shared it for obvious reasons.

Apparently Xbox Full Screen Experience comes to all Windows handhelds tomorrow.

I joined Production I.G 16 months after its release, and even after 30 years, this film still remains as a true masterpiece.

Clair Obscur is on sale on the Xbox and GOG stores at the same price and I’m conflicted by wanting to play it on my TV (as well as getting a PC version bundled in through the Xbox app) and my desire to get it without DRM. Not sure what to do

Name is Emma. Been cosplaying for about 25 years. I love learning new skill sets and enjoy emphasizing the crafting aspect of cosplay and the enjoyment I get out of that. I’m a former educator and love running panels at conventions

Name 4 dormant/dead franchises you want to be brought back.

(Frankly, I’ll settle for a straight port of Fragile Dreams to the Switch 2 with higher-resolution textures and that’s it)

Tried docking my handheld PC to my TV to play PC games and I have an even bigger appreciation now for Switch and Switch 2 making that whole process stupidly simple. I was hoping I could just launch Steam Big Picture Mode and not think about it, but I found myself using KB+M more than I wanted.

I haven’t checked in a long while but Lazarus and Uzumaki are in the Top 200 iTunes Animation Best-Selling charts again. Not bad for the Toonami originals. I’m assuming Uzumaki was probably higher before and during Halloween.

Oh weird, if you still have access to the old iTunes Store that is a feature, but it’s now gone from the AppleTV app.

Once again, I am happy I never updated my phone to get rid of the iTunes Store.

Sony’s following in Nintendo’s footsteps by offering a region locked console solely for the Japanese market at a lower price. I wonder how that’s been working out for that market and if Japanese gamers simply don’t care for International games that they could import.

I kinda knew that Discotek would be the first ones to take advantage of the extra space on 4K UHD Blu-ray to do a HD-on-4K Blu-ray in the vein of their SD-On-Blu-ray collections. Not insider knowledge or anything, but a hunch that they’d try it.
Next up, it says 'Collection', not Edition like the normal Blu-ray.

The reason for that is, Project A-ko 2, 3, & 4 are on the disc in 1080p SDR, dubbed & subbed.

So all 4 are here.

The new release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair will finally include the entire Production I.G sequence that was not finished for the movie until well after the Cannes premiere in 2006. If you’ve caught it at The New Beverly, it didn’t include this sequence as it’s the same print from Cannes.

Back when FUNimation used the heck out of alternate angles and seamless beaching on the DVD’s. I always thought it was a really cool use to show Japanese and English title/credits/etc. but it did end up tanking the video bitrate.
I think this can be traced back to when I was 8 and had my Ultimate Uncut dvds for Dragon Ball Z and out of curiosity I swapped the language over to Japanese, saw the show open with Cha-La Head Cha-La for the first time, and realized DBZ was a tonally different show than I assumed it was
The sad fact is that I'm the type of bitch who finds watching the opening and ending to every episode of a show incredibly important and changing or removing it dramatically effects my enjoyment of a show, which means I am now finding ways to make sure I get the opening and endings with my episodes
