Chronically online, history obsessed cat herder with a houseplant problem. Been to a museum lately?

This map is now over ten years old and I intend to keep adding to until I run out of places or I break Google Maps. Let me know if I’m missing a cool thing in your area: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/v...
Places to See: United Kingdom - Google My Maps
Places constantly added and sorted into 9 types for visiting when in the UK. Good for locals looking for a new place off the beaten path, or for tourists coming from further afield.

Expat life is continually explaining to people that flying abroad back to your home country to see family is not a holiday, even if the cost is the same.

Holy shit y’all. I know I feel better (and colder) and that I’ve been losing weight, but look at the difference a year makes.

I’ve been living in the UK too long and forgotten just how earnest Americans can be. Could you even imagine the level of roast a British local politician would get for putting up something like this?

My mom hates snakes. And then moved back to Texas. So we love to wind her up with snakes.

Been married 19 years and still so excited to explain niche history to my husband. Tonight it’s the blue people of Kentucky.

Still here, just been in a weird headspace for a bit. But life has continued apace, and I’ve been playing with software to make a montage.

Husband likes to wind me up showing me the Black Friday Month deals. OMG IT’S MEANT TO BE A SINGLE DAY WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ANIMALS
Is there a sudden mass delusion or forgetting about what Black Friday is? Why are there so many Black Friday sales now?? It's not a month long, it's a single day. It's not even the right week yet!

For my own mental health, I’ve blocked all posts with Trump mentioned. The timeline is now a lovely palette cleanser.

It’s getting colder and there is a vague hope that hanging curtains across the bifolds will stop the cat from screaming to go outside when we’re in the kitchen.

That being said, all attempts this evening are making it feel hella cursed.

I went on a mental health walk and there was a wild rabbit, so I think I’m now cured.

Been seeing a surprising amount of kids on this holiday, though to be fair a lot are toddlers so wouldn’t be in school anyway. We’ve made a bit of a game coming up with boring adult reasons why any of them burst into tears.
