This is so soulless, I can't stand it. We have BRAINS. We can USE THEM.
Al is also changing how we communicate. With so little free time and so much pressure to be perfect, many who've never cooked a turkey might have a chatbot walk them through the steps, feeling safer asking "stupid questions" in private. People even report using Al conversation prompts to get lively discussions going at the table. Al can generate the toast, the prayer, the party games and the poem read before dessert.

Alright, here we go again.

Any "zoomed in" pic you see of our beloved lil' meow meow from Namjoon's ig story is a completely guesstimated AI fabrication. No need for lengthy explanations: there simply isn't enough information in the pixels to deduce or reconstruct his face in an accurate manner.

The AI has given him double eyelids, fuller lips and overall made his face a bit more feminine as is typical of these edits. Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪

Email to Amazon. I was approached to put my book in the Kindle Translate beta programme for AI translation. I want to let you know that this revolts me, I will never consent to it, and my books must categorically not be used for any such programme. I realise it is supposedly opt in, however we all know that AI companies have shown no regard whatever for intellectual property or copyright. I support human creativity, I am not going to be utilising this greedy initiative to put humans out of work, and I have no desire to have my books rendered into soulless pap by a machine. Amazon's desire to replace human artistry and connection with Extruded Word Product, at the low low cost of burning the planet under us, is deeply depressing. Please don't approach me for any other AI initiatives. I don't want it.
