I’m not mad, just disappointed. And also oddly relieved - it’s nice not to have to watch any more of this 2025 team.

PSA for book banners 👇

Additional pro tips: 1. Read the damn thing. 2. If you don’t like it, close the cover (refer to illustration for operating instructions)
For those who never learned the ancient art of opening a new book. You're welcome.

(Do not attempt with a Kindle.)

“The bipartisan hangup is mostly around giving the NCAA antitrust protections and requiring athletes to be amateurs rather than employees, as that would strip their ability to collectively bargain.”
NEW: The SCORE Act, which fulfills all the NCAA's major requests, passed two markups today. It could now be the first bill of its kind to reach the House floor for a vote.

But even if it passes the House, it's expected to face major issues in the Senate. frontofficesports.com/pro-ncaa-bil...

The bill satisfies all the items on the NCAA’s wishlist. But even if it passes the House, it would still likely die in the Senate.

“Nobody has ever lost an Olympics for denying visas to athletes, because nobody has ever been careless or brash enough to repeatedly deny visas to incoming athletes based on their nation of origin shortly before hosting the Olympics.”
Three years away from LA 2028, the Trump regime keeps denying visas to athletes from certain countries trying to enter the country for competitions.

There are not a lot of things you can do to get the proudly “politically neutral” IOC to act. But they keep doing one of those things
This is how you lose the Olympics
There is basically just one thing the Trump regime could do to convince the IOC to strip America of the Olympics... and they keep doing it.

Great thread.
Book banners always seem confused about how we can call something a ban if the books are still available elsewhere.

I'll put this in a way they'll understand.

When your outreach leader was barred from going within 2500 feet of a playground?

Still a ban even though they sell slides on Amazon.
