If these fucking traitors want to join the US, they should just make their way back to the Coutts crossing. I'm sure they remember the way from 2022.

Trump is back to calling Canada's Prime Minister "Governor." His designs on Canada are not over. Neither are his designs on Greenland.

Any Albertan that wants to become American should make their way to the Coutts border crossing. I image none of them need directions, seeing as that's where they held their "blockade" in 2022.
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."

"... it’s just unclear now what the $1 billion permanent membership fee is for."

It's for the enrichment of Donald Trump. It doesn't take a band of teenagers and a Great Dane to figure this out.

Ed Davey is the extremely rare British politician who has always been extremely clear-eyed and honest about the threat posed by Trump regime.
Starmer’s US policy lies in tatters. Trump is now punishing the UK and NATO allies just for doing the right thing.

Time for the PM to stand firm against the bully in the White House, and work with European and Commonwealth allies to make him back down from this reckless plan.

Twelve members of the current Florida Panthers roster come from a country Trump has threatened. Fuck each of them.
Trump during Florida Panthers celebration: "I heard they have a little surprise. Ooh, that looks nice. I hope it's the stick and not just the shirt. That stick looks beautiful. That looks beautiful. Maybe I get both, who the hells knows. I'm president, I'll just take them."

The UK's fetishization of the so-called "special relationship" with the US (one that the US only gives lip service to when in the presence of Brits) has lead to this: a complete unwillingness to denounce Trump's clear imperial ambitions.
Jeez. Greenland is in the NATO alliance. How hard can this be?

I hope all those leaders, especially those in Canada and Europe, who made milquetoast remarks following the Trump regime's illegal actions in Venezuela are happy with themselves.
Trump: "We need Greenland from a national security situation. It's so strategic. Right now, Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place. We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security. And Denmark is not gonna be able to do it ... the EU needs us to have it"

"The President of the United States of America is just a smol bean" is a fucking insane take.
5. I have no respect for Donald Trump. He diminishes everything he touches. But focusing on him right now is like being bitten by your neighbor’s unleashed, unfenced rabid dog and focusing on the dog. If we don’t hold his enablers to account we’re going to keep getting bit.
January 3, 2026 at 3:23 PM
Anyone who thinks these sorts of actions by the current USian regime will be limited to Venezuela is a fucking idiot. Europeans should see this as a direct threat to Greenland. Canadians should see this as a direct threat to their sovereignty. WAKE THE FUCK UP!

I'm sure being a landlocked country whose economy is reliant on resource extraction will work out great for them. That or being a territory of the US. (A reminder that only Congress can admit new states, and those in Congress are loathe to reduce their own power. Territories, on the other hand...)
