As amazing as that could be, that also requires funding, which has also been running dry in the industry with conditions getting worse and worse when and if a publisher/investor might be interested in a deal :/

So, there you have it - who would have thought that a make-believe world with dragons, magic and a bunch of cheese wheels could mean so much? As we finish our discussion on video games, neurodiversity, emotions and how they all fit together, I can't help but smile at the idea that each of us will find our own version of 'home' in Skyrim.
Whether you play as a brave hero or a cunning thief, or just dealing with the twists and turns of everyday life, I hope your journey is full of fun, surprises and maybe a tasty sweet roll or two. Experimenting with various formulas/geometry and resolutions for the terrain deformation and I may or may not, possibly, maybe perhaps, messed up certain calculations. Just a feeling. A hunch. Couldn't really say... 🤔

That said; the game has great bones. Its fun, its runs smooth for early access, and understansbly received well. I just hope through this success they stand by their word and do right by the VAs of the industry.

Well, damn. AI continue to ruin all things good :( I'll see if i can find any info on whether if they changed course, or if it was at least one of those that pay the actors themselves for licensing etc, though im not hopeful :/

There is still quite a bit of maths to figure out to capture a realistic-ish feeling across the board with different situations, be it weight, explosions, soil displacement etc, as well as optimization.

Developing a real-time terrain interactions tool for Unity for an idea I'm prototyping. Mainly catering to vehicles, but it should work for anything that needs real-time deformation with physics (i.e explosions) & per-texture properties (i.e physics, particles). It's been a fun new challenge 👀

VPP is already amazing but if you also release a solution for this that works with VPP it would be above and beyond great. I've been working on a real-time terrain deformation tool to go with VPP (and anything else, really) and this has been an issue because of the wheel jumps and visual glitches

How in 2025 and Unity 6.whatever the built-in WheelCollider is still based on a single vertical raycast to the ground at the center instead of a full sweep..? The hoops this engine has been making me jump through at every corner for the last decade... 😮‍💨
