I know of rising and setting
I know the pace of a day
though clouds obscure my need,
I follow and wait
for those precious breaks of blue,
a slip of hope
to my ever watchful eyes

if you were worried about me

don't

my roots dig deep
I always find water
and the sun
is as faithful
as my love

As a ty for your patience, @cdotjuniper.bsky.social (and @arliden.bsky.social ), I have recovered my Dostoevsky response (I was perhaps a bit generous to term it an essay, 😆).

As you can see I was feeling bit spicy & thus was a bit over-enthusiastic, 😜🤣). In my defense how often does one

I want you to know
whatever wounds you inflict
your love can heal

you're doing your best
the yoke you bear
is heavier than most
& you were meant for more
than pulling carts

and sometimes you break

doesn't make you any less strong

and I
could take many a dark day
to adore you for an hour

They say ghosts
are spirits that can't move on.

The truth,
ghosts are what we see
when 𝘸𝘦 can't move on.
And I am haunted.

My pleadings
and bargains
are only with myself.

My desire
to make the ethereal
material
burns within.

My ghost won't go away.
Maybe I can at least
leave the room.

the world
is covered in white
I should be glad
for winter's bright

but so thick
is that icy pile
I'm reminded spring
is still a long while

I am lost
deep in the winter cold
and this pain gnaws
as it grows old

I'm dreaming
in daffodils and leafy green
'til then hope is fleeting
and lean

it's beyond
but not in words
the blood in your heart
is joyous and alive,
as it goes from artery
to capillary

the nerve endings
have the need
of an addict
drunk on feeling,
that gyrates hips
and moves hands

I am undone

now I know why
I have a soul,
the pleasure
and love I feel
is undying

it was love hidden in night
an exploration of bodies
in shadow

and the silence
only broken
by responses
by reactions
the friction of
slow sliding across skin
and unspoken need
as you invite me in

no place to go
nowhere else
we had to be

a world in the dark
with just you and me

He soothes her like the rumble of a plane bulkhead, passengerless. Like snow drifting on the night of a snow moon. She doesn't know what else she could tell you about it.

But if you look down there are sleepy, glowing farmhouses.

in the design of my mind
there is a house that is ours
made of many rooms

behind each door
is a memory
I can wander its halls

it soothes
for a little while

outside the windows
a storm threatens
clouds bloated
with water

if we wash away
will we be
just pictures in a book?

I dare not
look

At the middle
of the forest in
our cabin,
cozy and warm,
musing on life,
and watching
the sun peek
through the trees.
We left the troubles
of this world behind.
It was our moment…
nowhere to go…
nothing to do…
just simply be.

He awoke standing with an unfamiliar kid in his arms. It began to squirm, and his body took over, #soothing the child, speaking in a familiar voice. He had been sleepwalking for so long, he was now just a passenger in his own body. He wondered what was keeping him tethered.

Lay your head
in my arms
& tell me
how it is for you

Is it an angry,
desperate cry
that keeps you fighting
to shut the door?

Or is it just
emptiness,
an aching silence,
a featureless void,
vapid,
indifferent?

Rest, darling.
Listen to my heart's thrum,
it is the soft music
your love makes.

One of my favorite scenes from Schitt's Creek. Rest in Peace Catherine O'Hara. I grew up with SCTV and you never failed to make me laugh. Thanks for sharing your light with us.

You #obfuscate your heart,
yet like moon’s silver edge,
your longings wander
the seams of nightfall,
before writing yourself across my skin.

Like stars peddling memories,
you dust me in your fragments—
half-formed notes of warmth
that dry on my heart
until shadows swallow you
once more.

In case you haven't already read it, this piece by @adamserwer.bsky.social is brilliant. Understated but hugely moving. Reporting from the ground in Minneapolis. Great pix by @jackcalifano.bsky.social, too.

what finds you
when we're apart
& a heavy gray
obfuscates your heart?

but memories of love
don't go
search your mind
for things you know

the weight of it
the shape
the pressure
of desire mounting
& the fear of loss
is just a matter
of accounting

it's all there
it exists
our love persists

As I blinked I thought, could all these spinning gears in my head produce something other than cold, lifeless obfuscations. I saw bumblebee girl on a park bench staring at leaves for hours. At night, under black light, I spit out bits of poetry and hide them from him.

our turned into mine
money became meaning
cruelty became policy
rich soil turned to dust
forests became fire

the air became heavy
with factory belches
thirst quenched with cancer
and mother's tears
Cupid's quiver
empty

will there be birds
to twitter a eulogy,
or just the howl
of the wind?

tell me
I live in a world of circles
that I can rely
on the cyclical

does not sky
swirl around me?
day & night
an ouroboros
seasons roll through again
with our unceasing revolution

so it must be
even if love wanes
it will wax again
in synodic hope
I know you will turn
& face me once more

Shards of my heart
strewn on the floor

I sat there
tears in my eyes
then you came
& sat by side
you didn't speak—
only listened

when I felt strong
you took my hand
& we gathered
all the shards
piecing me
back together
again

you should know,
you were always
the glue
that kept me going.

at the shear point
rests the #cusp

where change is not a promise
but an intake;
a transaction exacted by unknowns.

the weight you keep
is warped by the parallax—
refracted through the grit
of all that has passed.

..being intuitive.. you notice energy shifts.. feel it before they pullback from you.. it’s often due to “misplaced envy”.. they may not realize envy‘s why they feel off..it’s misplaced cuz what i.. or anyone has—no one can—it’s unique..i’m about love (harmony).. so i shift too..far away..
