Not exclusive to the US, I’m excited for artists who can pursue passion but here in the Australian scene we’ve all spoken a lot about how it has definitely gone from passion to profit (for survival’s sake)
Im glad in 2026 we’re seeing a few more smaller events, I hope the trend stays strong

its a bit of a relief to see other artists feel the same about how US artist alley has become more ""hustle culture"" with a focus on making marketable goods with ok enough art, and less ""check out this mental illness"" with 200 doujinshi pages of the best sucking and fucking you can ever imagine

What did you guys think of the Arcadion? It's skyrocketed to my absolute favourite raid series (aside from some personal bias toward Eden as an VIII fan)

Maybe because the LB3 set felt like one illustration that took 3 months, but I feel like I didn't draw a lot this year :/
I want to be glad I was able to draw a bit each month though, and in these 12 months is 150+ comms as well.
Here's to hopefully more in 2026 🥂
