I have been saying that we price too much of the good in and can only see the bad. Without early social media (Slashdot, kuro5hin) there’s a decent chance I’d not be anywhere near where I am now
Social media literally saved my bros life he found friends there when he was being bullied by the kids in our street and at school. He’s still friends with the kids he met on Facebook 13 years ago

Imagine if they just paid people enough to buy the food when it was still on the shelf in the shop.

Seems to me if welfare payments were above the poverty line people could buy this for full price pre-expiration instead of copping the indignity of being "donated" food unfit for consumption, but hey, it's a tax write off so those corporate profits are fine! This is literally just to fuck the needy!
This is my local women's shed every week they get donations to make hampers for people doing it tough. Aldi thought this was acceptable

NO, the answer is not make all the dono go through mega charities like ozharvest so food standards are adhered to (yeah they try bu they also fail)
it's GIVE PEOPLE MONEY. #RaiseTheRate of welfare above the poverty line.

Poor people and the people supporting them don't have the energy to deal with your garbage. If it's garbage, throw it in the bin, don't try to feel good and write it off as a donation

A big feature of hating the poor, is people wildly overestimating how much help is available to the poor, and the quality of that help.

They imagine welfare is an easy to get, comfortably livable income, or imagine we eat well off charity, when irl rich donors commonly use charity to offload waste
