I don't think motivating people to move to other platforms to avoid the stupid censorship rules is a good solution. Quite the opposite. There is NO SAFE space for artists nowadays, if we don't fight back this will only get worse and worse

organizers are greedy asf and they see artists as their own bank account and I also think that they take advantage of how desperate most of them are to earn money to survive, that even tho the situation is not fair they will keep applying it's been going worse every year

I don't think is a matter of one single artist making that type of videos, I also saw TONS of them with stuff like "I made 30k at Dokomi" and that made thousands of people to apply for this year edition and the majority of them didn't made the costs back for OBVS reasons

that's exactly my pov, I know there's plenty of writters with incredible good stories, I think it's more capitalism because the more you exploit a franchise that already has their own fandom the more money you get, explore new ideas is risky (money wise) 'cause what if people don't like it THAT much
