Blood Slayers, Chapter 1: Tairan

The first panel shows an overshot of what looks to be a small city surrounded by a small wall. A large building with a bell stands in the foreground. In the upper right there is a caption that reads 'New Earth, Tairan - 25XX'
Below is a student, their back against a large tree as they read intently.
A hand begins to creep around the trunk before the student slams their book shut. "You're late, Daniel. Again."

The person behind the tree, Daniel, fully reveals himself with a pout. "Man, I don't know how you always do that..."
The reading student looks at him smugly "Not my fault you suck at being sneaky."
Daniel replies, "Hmph, I'm not THAT bad."
Daniel shoots a thumbs up with a big smile, "Anyway, I'm all good to head home!"
The student glares at him as they begin to clean up their mess of books, "About time, I've been out here for an hour."
Daniel places a hand on their shoulder with a proud expression, "Damien, Damien, Damien, I can't help it if my teachers can't get enough of me."
Damien gives him an incredulous look, "What did you do now?"

Daniel gives an exaggeratedly shocked expression, "What? Me? I'm the goodest student there is!"
Damien side eyes him with mild annoyance, "Says the guy that's blown up a classroom twice now."
Daniel chirps up looking far too proud, "Thirce! I mean, uh, w-well... Anyway! One of my teachers was advising me to consider summer school before graduating. Something about my grades being meh. I told her I was perfectly fine of course!" As Daniel talks, Damien gathers their books and packs them into their backpack, very clearly not believing a word their brother says.
At a distance Damien stands up and blatantly asks, "Haven't you failed most of your written exams?"
Daniel can only answer with an awkward, "Ah..."

The scene changes to an overview of an older styled line of storefronts as they walk off the schoolyard. People are walking around and window browsing as the two siblings walk down the sidewalk and talk.
Daniel continues their conversation, "Yeah sure, but I passed all the practical tests with flying colours! I don't need the written stuff."
Damien replies, "You realise the written exams cover team formations, Shade weaknesses, survival-"
They're cut off as Daniel waves a confident hand, "That's all stuff you can learn on the fly!"
Damien once again seems incredulous, "Right." They look forward with a drop in expression that seems concerned, "Maybe you should reconsider the summer classes. I don't need you screwing up your Slayer work before I even graduate."

Going off my last post, anyone got recommendations for websites that are good for sharing 'ugly' comics/manga? I worry that most webtoon places are for pretty comics and mine wouldn't be approved for posting. I just want a casual place to share, I don't want money or anything...

I will not stop drawing despite the state of everything, but damn if it's not hard to do it. Ai is rampant and stealing ruthlessly, the internet has become a wasteland that's a slog to navigate, and it feels like every website where artists share their work becomes cruel to humanity. I need a break

The thing about the NSFW crap that I'm getting peeved about is that pose reference accounts keep getting their stuff marked as 'adult content' when the models aren't even nude, and even THEN artistic nudity shouldn't be marked. Let me browse poses without having to unhide them all good god.
